Climb of Life

In July 2014 Clean Trails brought “Climb of Life” across the big pond to support the cancer research efforts of City of Hope. Climb of Life, United Kingdom has over 20 years of success in fundraising for cancer research. Climb of Life, USA is a partnership with Clean Trails and City of Hope to support cancer research right here in America . This event is a great way to get outside, rack up a few miles on your favorite trail, participate in keeping it clean, and support a great cause. Special thanks to Climb of Life, UK’s, Graeme Chapman, MBE, and Office Products International for their support in bringing this event to the United States.

Climb of Life USA

The 2015 Climb of Life (United States) will be held in Breckenridge, Colorado September 2015. Climb of Life US benefits City of Hope and Clean Trails. 2014 was our inaugural year and we reached the top of Mount Whitney, the highest summit in the lower 48.

Breckenridge is beautiful, warm and sunny in September (I predict). There are plenty of activities for every level – hiking, rock climbing, Fourteener climbing, biking, sailing, an alpine slide, and relaxing chair lift rides. Climbers can plan for either Quandary Peak, an “easy” 14er, or Mount Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado and second highest summit in the lower 48. Both climbs are non-technical and will require conditioning. This is also the traditional Octoberfest weekend so plan on fun in town. Breckenridge is a historic gold mining town and a top worldwide destination resort. It’s a mecca for outdoor activities. Breckenridge is operated by Vail Resorts.

We have an exciting Climb in the works and two great climbers will be speaking. One of the climbers scheduled is a survivor of two cancers, one of which required removal of a lung. He has climbed the Seven Summits (highest peak on each continent) and completed the Hawaii Ironman – all after his cancer treatment. He has an established record of promoting cancer awareness and raising funds for cancer research. Somewhere in there, he wrote a book about it all. We are teasing you here…stay tuned for more.

Note: All dates subject to change as schedule may change.  More details to follow.

About City of Hope and National Office Products Council

City of Hope is a new model of cancer center, focused on rapidly transforming scientific discoveries into better treatments and better prevention strategies for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.

In 1983, a group of corporate leaders banded together to form the National Office Products Council, an alliance of industry executives dedicated to supporting City of Hope. In 2014, Council Leadership decided tSaveo change its name to the National Business Products Industry. This was done to reflect the inclusion of growing sectors within the industry in the areas of technology, break room, jan/san and industrial.

Since its founding, the annual business products industry fundraising campaign has raised $125 million through its annual support efforts that include employee giving drives, company hosted events as well as product and customer promotions. Over 200 business products companies from every segment of the industry – retailers, independent dealers, wholesalers, buying groups, manufacturers and sales reps – support the campaign each and every year.
